: was Joe Stalin. The point is that there was no real direct engagement 
: between the US and USSR while Nikki was in charge. The closest there was, 
: was the Cuban Missile crisis.

Have we had enemys before who have made statements threatening the existance
of our nation?

Have we survived, and in some cases, become friendly with those countries?

We didn't fight a direct war with the Soviets, but we fought them on many 
fronts thruout the world...
