I was having the same problem with Word 2000, Excel 2000, and Publisher 2000 -- XP Home Edition. ' I uninstalled Acrobat 5.0. Searched for any stray Acrobat 5.0 files--deleted them, rebooted, and reinstalled Acrobat 5.0, with Norton AV disabled. No updates have been installed. It is my feeling that those updates may have been the reason for my problems.
