I choose to educate myself IRT issues that concern me. You can do the
same. I've seen nothing posted by you that would suggest you are a
qualified judge of logical argument. Your posts, and Michelle's posts 
for the part, are nothing more than attacks on me personally and not 
my views. Jean, what have you offered IRT discussion of any of the 
issues (othr than me) in any of these threads you post in?

I suspect you are referring to the postings by "beergut" - your buddy
Michelle's "hubby". Anyone who makes public posts should expect those
posts to be discussed and/or attacked. The comments I made about his
posts where relevant to what was being discussed with Michelle. It was
*Michelle* who brought up her "hubby", saying she was lucky to be married
to a wonderful man ("hi dear"), that she'd not had any unwanted,
unpleasant abusive experiences with men on the city streets, suggesting
(if memory serves me correctly) that what I consider abusive might not
be considered so by others, and that if you don't go looking for trouble
you won't find it, etc. and so on. Then I read posts by "beergut", her
"male protector" in which he writes that he was probably a tad drunk,
was in a rage, obnoxious to the police after a scuffle with a minor
and put in jail overnight. What would you call that behavior? Perhaps
Michelle has never had any unwanted, unpleasant, abusive experiences
with men on the streets or with her "hubby", but seemingly (whether or
not such occurred on the streets) the police (and perhaps a minor) has
had such an experience with her "hubby", a man. And Michelle says my
posts hurt women, which she has a right to say. OTOH I have the same
right to comment on her posts or those of her "hubby". If I had a husband
who made public posts calling me "old lady...er wife", saying that he
bought me a "hooter costume" before we left the bar, I would not only
leave the bar, I would leave him! 

Apparently it is not OK for me to attack the behavior of Michelle's
"hubby" or him, but OK for Michelle to attack me, men in my life as she
did  in one of her first replies to my posts: "There are good men out
there. Maybe your taste, or lack of it, in men, needs to be re-evaluated." 
Even with the maybe, that is an attack on me, my ex-husband of 22 1/2
years and the father of my 3 adult children, as well as other men in my
life. I know there are good men out there; some of them have been/are 
in my life. However, after reading posts by "beergut", IMO Michelle 
should evaluate her taste, or lack of it, in men.
