"	Which Host?destroyer.rs.itd.umich.edu 540 TN=OFF

It works better now my original way, but I'm glad that someone at
Merit took my suggestion to create a method to put the TN command
on the same line with the hostname. Sending BREAKS seems to be the
major problem.

On a related note, I just finished a dialTB3K program - a dialer
for the Telebit T3000 under SCO XENIX (HDB UUCP). I tried the
Merit V.32 modems in Dearborn (593-5335) and was reminded of
the problems that I had even at 2400bps last year: There is some
of the most horrific line noise that I have ever seen. It took me
10 calls just to get one to connect.

Who is in charge of those modems? I'd like to let them know about
the problem so that they can call Michigan Bell.

I'll let you know about the command and if it works.
