So if you spend eight dollars on something you have no right to expect
it to be any good? Why not just set fire to a five and three ones?

McDonalds didn't advertise these tapes as being sub-standard knock-offs.
There was no reason for any consumer to believe that they were anything
but first quality pre-recorded tapes that were a bargain because of a
promotional deal between McDonalds and the studio.

What in the world does this mean? The mass quantities are what should
allow a quality product to be made at a low price.

One's expectations for a Quarter Pounder are that it be like every other
Quarter Pounder. No, it's not a great sandwhich, but you know what
you're getting. One's expectations for a tape of a movie are that it
play at least as well as the typical video tapes one buys or rents.

Man, you sure packed a lot of nonsense into three sentences.
