I bought a TV with a $20 mail-in rebate on Sept 15 at the Sunnyvale, CA Montgomery Wards. After the "please allow 6-8 weeks" baloney, I returned to the store in early December (with complete documentation) and received assurances that the rebate form had not been correctly filled out by their sales guy BUT THE REBATE WILL BE FORTHCOMING (Oh, gosh sir, that's wonderful!). You know the results...Jan 20 and still no rebate. Is this the old "make the customer give-up" routine? Anybody out there gone through this "put off"?
