Difference is that the police officer is probably not trying to watch reruns of 'Police Squad'. The laptop has a wireless connection that gets data that the officer needs, cuts down time spent of the 2-way. I don't know if you guys actually know and talk to any police officers, but the ones I come in contact with are very professional. Maybe because all the departments around here require a masters degree to advance from patrol officer. I also know of a half dozen who have trained at Quantico. You can keep your BF's.
