And there were a LOT of expensive cars that were totalled by hail
storms here. We had two freak storms just about 3 weeks apart. One
insurance company had over 50 adjusters come into the area for the
first storm and when the 2nd one hit they brought in and additional 65
adjusters.

My wife waited to get the appraisal - at the request of the insurance
company because she only had a dented car and did not have the to
penetrated or windshields or rear windows broken out. He appointment
to be un-dented from the April storm is last week in August. Others
have appointments streching to November.

There are repair shops from cities 60-70 miles away running ads saying
that they will come and get your car, fix it, and return it, instead of
having to wait 4 to 6 months. A couple of new car dealers had over
200 new cars each creamed. Lots of cars with dents, and big 'hail
sale' events.

It is amazing how expensive it can be. Roofs have to be cut out and
replaced because they can't remove the dents any other way.

On some of the more expensive cars the damage could easily hit over
$10,000.

No one needed 'theory' here. Sunny Florida! One lot had the hail blow
sideways into 3 foot piles. Typical 80 degree Florida April Day :-)
