Three out of four times we have been given a car one size up from what we booked at no extra charge. This last trip is was an automatic to boot!!. There has been one mixup, we ordered the car to pick up at Gatwick and drop off at Cambridge. When we picked the car up we told the desk that we had changed our plans and now would drop the car off in Canterbury. Well that is what we did, but we had onl;y been home a couple of days when we got calls, telegrams, form letters, from Hertz asking for the whereabouts of their car, even threatening to send the police after us. One call to Gatwick straightend things out, apprently Canterbury hadn't logged it in properly. However we realy would like to have had the Pittsboro (very small town) North Carolina Sherrif on our doorstep asking the whereabouts on that English car.
