I feel alot of sympathy for the people taken by this scam, BUT

How dumb do you have to be to fall for a scam like this? Someone calls
and gives you all this garbage and conditions (good faith dep, etc),
and you pay it without the opportunity to see the gems, or at least
getting some sort of verifiable documentation of the gem are as said?

Man oh man, if people weren't so damn gullible, alot of this
defrauding activity wouldn't even be happening, and law enforcement
could concentrate on more pressing matters.
