Maybe they need a little fan with a time delay to blow air through the system to dry it out after engine shutdown. I replaced the inducer (exhaust fan) control board on the gas furnace a year or two back and I note the new one has a time delay so it runs about 15 seconds beyond burner shutdown for that same reason.
