They are banning cellphone usage without hands free. A CB works more like a speakerphone or PTT like the annoying Nextels. They do not want someone on the phone with one hand on the steering wheel the other on the phone pressed against their ear and not paying attention to the sides of their car... Pretty hard to constantly look at your sides if you have a cellphone pressed against your head. Not saying that I agree with the proposed cellphone ban moving everyone to hands free. In NJ, the state recently follwed NY's lead and now requires drivers to use a Hands Free set. Again, as I do not necessarily agree with the proposed / enacted laws, I must admit from the lame lawmakers point of view, that using a cellphone while driving does indeed impair your driving slightly more than driving reagularly. I have seen plenty of people not paying attention to the road while jabbering away on their cellphones. Hmmm... maybe they should stop the cellphone laws they propose and allow other drivers to beat the living crap out of the stupid drivers that crap up the road while on their cellphones. hehe :-p. -- -John Mr. Vodka
