Bingo, that list doesn't take into account underemployment in the sciences and the way it's written, it makes pharmacy careers look worse than it actually is because starting PharmDs are getting $80K+/yr and that's for 95+% of every graduating class, not just the 'A' students. In addition, 100% of the residents finishing the IM residency at affiliated programs are getting $120K+/yr with more than half above the median posted on that site. Oh heck, senior residents, who moonlite, can earn $60/hr helping out in a clinic from time to time. A few former rotation acquaintances I knew did that and earned $80K/yr during their final years as a resident ($45K/yr residency salary + $35K/yr moonlighting consultancy) before getting their first full time MD job. And I wouldn't worry about the surgical specialists, they've always done well. I'd like to meet all these experienced biologists (outside of those coveted Pfizer/Genentech positions) earning >$70K when many can't even get past their postdocs.
