We are forced to 'exist' on the most basic (almost >half the national "Poverty Level" figures). <snip> I know nothing of your disability, but as to "existing" on half the National "Poverty Level" figures, this may help you, and any other Canadians with disabilities who are in the same boat. According to a ruling by a Judge of the B.C. Supreme Court, if you were EVER married and subsequently find yourself alone as a result of marriage breakdown, which I understand is quite common in the category of disabled persons, your ex-spouse is obligated to support you. This is regardless of when you find yourself disabled, ie it may only become a factor many years after the divorce, OR regardless of what the disability is. It may be totally unrelated to the marriage, ie maybe as the result of a car accident, but this is no longer relevant. In Canada, your ex-spouse is now required to support you, "for life". Good Luck, and I certainly hope this helps. ********************************************** Treat the earth well: It was not given to you by your parents, it was loaned to you by your children. **********************************************
