However, it is good >to know that there is someone in FRG (ain't it plain Germany now?) >sleeping better. Perhaps the reason that he sleeps better is that >he had proved to his own satisfaction that the gas technology supplied >by Germans to SH was not as deadly this time, and his conscious doesn't >bother him... I don't know why this disgusting piece of unappropriate ad-hominem attack and forgery of the poster's intention by misquoting appears again now, this time with even extended crossposting. The first time it appeared, it could be excused by being an emotional reac- tion in a heated situation and the poster of the original article has already clarified what he intended to say in a followup. I can backup that people in arbitrary countries with friends and/or relatives in Israel may indeed sleep a bit better having some reason to assume that no weapons of mass destruction may hit Israel - as well as anybody feeling sympathy for that country and the people living there, i assume. That does not diminish the impact of conventional missile attacks anyway - as well not the worries related to them. Beneath that, it is absolutely bad habit and contemptible behaviour to attack people for their probable nationality i.e. the country they are posting from. Neither "the Germans" nor the persons of different descent and nationality living in Germany have supplied Saddam Hussein with gas or missiles in their overwhelming majority nor did they advocate it. Blaming them as a whole for that is a disgusting nationalistic if not racist attitude not a bit better than antisemitism or any other kind of racism. The author of the article quoted should rethink his polemics and possibly apologize. regards, es
