FWIW, I once picked up and read a law textbook on product liability law. The book actually summarized in detail cases very similar to the ones that have been mentioned here lately (not McDonalds, as the book was published before that incident). But cases like the person breaking into a school and getting injured on the rebar, then suing the school. Once you read the whole story - not just the sentence or two that gets bandied about - the final verdicts make complete sense. In every case. I was amazed at how well our justice system actually worked. Craig
