I used to have, years ago, an Olympia Brunsviga Calculating Machine,
model (apparently) 13 RM.  I lost it in a fire.  It wasn't destroyed, I'm sure,
I just lost it.  It's smaller than a breadbox, about the size of two
bricks, only much heavier.  Mass was one of its principal charms when
I bought it with the first $40 I ever made.  I took the skin off of it,
only to discover that the inside is shaped exactly the same as the
outside.  It's a big block of metal, cleverly sliced up into moving
parts.  Fine piece of German engineering.  Jah!

It is grey, with a white-handled crank on the right-hand side, and
a carriage that moves across the bottom, showing little numbers through
windows.  The upper part consists of brass wheels (on edge) for setting
a number in the little row of windows across the top.  If you've got one,
it says BRUSNVIGA right on it.  In case it doesn't, I included this
description.  Please contact me to arrange a deal.  It's probably
just holding down the floor at your place, anyway, right?
