Here's a book that I would recommend: *Practicing Theory and Reading Literature* by Raman Selden. Kentucky University Press, 1989. Takes a school of critical thought, like the ones you mention, and applies it to a work of literature. Some examples: does a reading of Keats's "Ode to a Nightingale" (New Criticism); John Updike (Structuralism); Hawthorne (Semiotics); Shakespeare (psychoanalytic); Dickinson (deconstruction); Milton (Marxist) etcetera...24 essays...paperback...uncluttered by jargon.
