I have a brother living in France, I told him how I had struggled to learn French but couldn't master it. He told me how much he has noticed people can speak their own language and English. German and English, French and English, Spanish and English, Japanese and English, Chinese and English etc. etc. It's a good thing we have all those other languages to keep us aware of how fortunate we are to be able to speak English. He also told me how funny people in France think the Quebec stop signs are. Seems everyone in France knows Stop to mean Stop. They can't understand why in Quebec they have "Arret- Stop" on their stop signs. In France you are only required to stop once at an intersection, but in Quebec, Canada you are required to stop twice. Personally I give the Quebec French people three cheers. Keeping French alive is a good thing. Variety is the spice of life. -Island Beach Deep Blue wrote: > > Well, it's all your fault, english people!
