If some of you > are able to get it at a higher speed, please let me know. > ->HS I'm in downtown Toronto, Pentium 200 MHz, Windows 95. I have a Speedstream modem (Alcatel platform.) I also have the 1.5 Mb/s HSE. I've tested that link several times. I'm downloading that file at about 150 KB/s (149.9 average.) I would suggest you call 310-SURF, find your way to the account and billing department (NOT technical support), ask to have your Nortel replaced with a newer Alcatel based modem and have the line card changed. I did that and it worked without any problems. The modem came a couple of days later and the line was changed in less than a week after that phone call. (Also, getting 100.5 KB/s out of a Nortel is not that bad. I used to put up with around 500 Kb/s -- 63 KB/s)
