hi. I remember your name from somewhere... oh you replied to my
article on how inactive mcgill.* newsgroup was.

>I've done that. Reactions are interesting.

=)

> Some people get embarassed
>and pick it up,

yeah... i guess most of the kids will pick up while some of the adults
won't.

> some say "So whattaya gonna do about it?"

> but by far
>the most common reaction is a comment about how there's so much
>already that what's one more.

yep. others are doing it so let's do it also... I hate this idea.

> Which brings me to start ranting that
>5-10 years ago, there was much less garbage on the streets of Mtl, as
>I remember it (anyone care to correct me?).

yeah... i know... but my point wasn't just cigarette you know... it
can be a wrapping of gum etc... cans too... but usually cans get
picked up very quickly by someone who tries to change it for $$.
again... $$ is involved.

> Not that I'm advocating the

true.

> Myself, grape seeds and the occasional

yeah... I don't care about throwing it in the middle of nowhere. I
just don't want to see it in the metro or bus or wherever...

>: Remember of toy store incident (police officer, stealing of toys) 6
>: months back ? Remember of recent VIP stickers... (by mtl city

>: Anyways... as for the garbages... I now pick up the garbages when I

>: a usual person here.

>Well, it's quite good of you to do that. Do try to work up the nerve

yeah... and if they don't pick it up i pick it up and throw it to
them... and they will probably kill me.

> BTW, for the record, I'm in favour some a

no. penalty should be something like 10 years in prison. I hate
the idea of restricting what people do but throwing garbages on the
street or public places including gums on the floor isn't acceptable
for me.
>: Any comments ? If you see a garbage in the train, are you going to

yep! which common roon are you referring to ?

you see... and students are paying for their "food" by the mean of
student fees... oh well.

welcome to 21st century. the world of freedom.
