That's funny, your name doesn't look female. As you know, it's usually
females who experience nasty behaviour from chikan when they ride trains.

What about before or after you get into the train, when you see garbage
hanging around on the platform? What do you do when you see people
smoke right next to a no-smoking sign? They wait until the train comes,
and then they dump the cigarette butt on the ground before boarding the
train. One time I had the courage to speak to someone who was smoking
in a train (Seibu line, not shinkansen or other long distance train with
smoking cars). But in crowded stairways and escalators, even one time
right next to a no-smoking sign, I didn't have the courage.
You see, even if a person is on a temporary visa instead of an immigrant,
it's hard to find courage ^_^

That is very kind of you. Now I'm curious, did you do the same in Japan?
I see people clean up the street in front of their own house, or their
own place of business or the place where they work because they're employed.
But I don't usually see volunteers clean up the street otherwise. Maybe
sometimes volunteers clean up the countryside, but that is rare.
I used to live near a very small forested area in Hamura city. Passing
drivers would usually give their garbage to the trees. Maybe city workers
would clean it up about twice a year. I don't think volunteers handled
that. Not Japanese, not immigrants, not even temporary visa holders.

In Canada, police officers commit burglary and arson.
In Japan, police officers commit burglary, rape, and torture.
In Canada, immigration officials give imaginary rose-coloured answers
to questions and then act inhumanely against honest applicants.
In Japan, immigration officials give imaginary rose-coloured answers
to questions and then act inhumanely against honest applicants, and
then other government officials take their turns in acting maliciously.
No, government employees do not set a good example of how people should
live in society. They teach us about the master-slave relationship,
for anyone who didn't learn it in history classes.
