     You seem to be stating that there were no European Jews in
the area until after WW II.  Not true.  European Jewish immigration
to what was then a part of the Ottoman Empire began in earnest in
the 19th century.

     If you are calling Israel a theocratic state, it is nothing
comared to the Arab countries.
     Non-Jews live in Israel (including Muslim Arabs) with full civil
rights and even have members in the Knesset (legislature).  In Arab
and many non-Arab Muslim countries, non-Muslims are second- or third-
class citizens; in fact Jews were expelled from most Arab and some
non-Arab Muslim countries after the formation of Israel.
