Hmm. The New England area, at least the companies where I've worked, is
totally the opposite. I'm kind of unusual, for women who work in tech
here. Most of the others wear jeans or cords and sweaters or tshirts.  I
wear casual clothes much of the time, too. In fact, the first few times I
wore dresses it was because all my jeans were in the laundry. Then, as it
seemed they didn't mind me dressing up, I kept doing it occassionally.
Sometimes people ask if I've been interviewing.
