Ummmm, Robert... you can take your cat out with you? With my cats there 
are two options... plastered in a corner of the car preferably under the 
seat quaking with fear, or standing on my head quaking with fear. They do 
not like going places. 

Then there's the attempt to take a cat out on a leash, aka "taking the 
cat for a drag". 

Or do you have a siamese? They seem to be half dog.
