Boy oh boy, every time someone makes some statement of the form "most people who X are like Y" (i.e., that there is a high correlation between X and Y), somebody comes along and gets really defensive yelling "I'm X, and I'm not Y at all!" Well, two things: first, your counterexample doesn't disprove the original statement. And second, if you're unhappy that people think the way they do about you, *do* something about it. Or quit whining. I'm going on a job interview on Thursday. Now, I'm neither more nor less suited for the position depending on what I wear to that interview, so you might well say that it's counterproductive for the interviewers to take my clothing as an indicator of my suitability. Nevertheless, I'm damn sure I'm going to wear a suit and tie, because they *will*. -Gary -- |Gary Brainin | "...the right to be let alone--the most |garygm@goonsquad.spies.com | comprehensive of rights and the right most |Ramblings and PGP public key at: | valued by civilized men."
