Sort of. There are only so many hours in the day, and so much time that mgmt usually lets you spend on this sort of stuff. Is the general populace served by a fast relaynews and nov, or by something which will reduce email news administration by some fraction? More importantly, unless you live in such an environment, it is hard to really know what the right "solution" is. If there are things that can be done to make life easier for small tight-budget sites, the answers (at least the first draft) will have to come from such places. Finally, I believe the tools are already there. Both C News and INN can handle an arbitrary control message. So, find out what your feed is running and implement a new control message that changes your feed. Include some moderate security. It shouldn't take more than a day of tinkering. Then, ask your feed to install that one handler for you. /r$
