I'm running the performance release of C news. A number of groups in
my active file (particularly in alt) are 'x'ed out. Now, if someone
should crosspost to one of these groups (such as alt.non.sequitur) and
some groups that I *do* carry, the article arrives on my system. If
someone here then follows up to that article, inews (I think) bails
out on attempting to post the message to the 'x'ed group ("newsgroup
may not be posted to locally").
This seems to me like mildly broken behavior. Shouldn't the posting
mechanism post the article to the groups which *are* valid? Should
the x'ed groups even show up in the Newsgroups line when an article
lands here?
Confused,
