(TRENTON) - The speed limit on 475 miles of New Jersey's highways will be raised to 65 miles per hour on May 19. The longest stretch of road with an increased speed limit is the 96 miles along the New Jersey Turnpike between Interchange 1 in Salem County and Interchange 13 in Union County. The shortest is a five-mile run on the Turnpike extension from Florence Township to Mansfield Township. Other roadways with the upped speed limit include parts of the Garden State Parkway, the Atlantic City Expressway, Route 18, Route 55, and Interstates 78, 80, 195, 287 and 295. -------------------- Well, now we can travel quicker and faster to New York, without fear of getting tickets! It's about time! Jerry
