To be real honest, I don't give a rats ass if they are close minded or not. As long as they keep coming back and ploping down $70-80 a person and keep us in business. Those close-minded people pay my salary, put a roof over my head and put a roof over my head. > Just because she's pierced doesn't mean she's not an excellent waitress with superb >people skills. Did I say that she might not be an exellent server? No. I said that my customers would not appreciate being served by such a person. <see above> >Why would you assume that ANY of his friends are going to hang until >he gets off work? Yes, but at the potential cost of upseting my regulars, some of whom spend 3-4 K a year in my establishment? That is not a trade off I or any of the other managers are going to make. >I disagree. And what is the track record of those establishments that do "appreciate" this uniqueness. How many of them will still be in operation or still up to their opening standards 2-5 years down the road? Some will I admit, but the majority of them will fail simply because in a market like the central- southwest they will not be able to attract the kind of clientel that consistantly has disposeable income. >Only because people like you allow that to happen. Well its a "us against them" world and the "thems" have been around alot longer and there are more of them than the "us'" It is my belief that to "make it" (being able to provide for yourself, your family and stay off of *any* kind of public assistance without resorting to crime) a person has to be willing to give up a few things and conform to what "the man" wants. It ain't perfect, but for many it's reality. > >>These are just my opinions debate if you like, flame if you feel like >>making an ass of yourself. > >I only flame when someone ELSE makes an ass of themselves. Sorry, my mistake Tarla. I wasn't aiming that at you specificly, I swear. -ShirKahn =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Eagles may soar high...but weasles don't get sucked into jet engines
