Explain to us how wearing baggies, having a long ponytail or a
scraggly beard precludes having the qualities of experience and
brilliance. Or how you can tell that a person is deceitful if they
wear those item.

No it doesn't. Conforming to a "norm" makes one normal. Being
trustworthy has nothing to do with conformity.

And people can be non-conformist and be leaders too. That seems to be
