DCC-send vanaf ip-masquerading client

at het via ip masquerading meestal inderdaat foutief
afloopt, het sturen van dcc's. Een oplossing zou het
werken met een socks5 server kunnen zijn
www.socks.nec.com. Of je irc client vanop het
netwerk vanaf de server opstarten.

<->I don't think DCC can work under masquerading.
In DCC, one client says (paraphrased. of course)
"lets start a direct connection. My end will be
IP x.x.x.x PORT nn". The other says "OK, My side
will be IP y.y.y.y PORT mm". This goes on in the
Data part of the packets sent. But the masqueraded
client has no way of knowing what ports the
masquerade server will assign to this connection
(the IP address it knows is local and can't be
routed on the internet). The masquerade server
doesn't know that the data in the packet is an IP/PORT
pair (and it doesn't want to alter the data anyway).
How could they posibly negotiate a direct connection?
Someone please correct me if I'm wrong. </->

<->Or just run Xchat on the ipmasq machine, and
connect to it with VNC or a remote X solution.</->

plz tell me :)

~linux/net/ipv4/ files ziet zoals ip_masq_ftp.c, ip_masq_quake.c
etc.
In
