Dat hangt er maar vanaf:
Linux ondersteunt ook Plug&Play. Mijn SCSI-adapter (adaptec 2940),
netwerkkaart
(3Com Etherlink PCI XL) en andere pci-kaartjes worden ook automatisch door
linux herkend. En als de andere kaarten in je pc nog op de
standaardinstelling
staat, is de kans groot dat linux deze eveneens automatisch te pakken krijgt.
Je moet natuurlijk wel zorgen dat je de juiste modules (=drivers) laadt, of
de
ondersteuning in je kernel compileren.
Bij de kaarten waar je toch de IRQ/DMA/IO info nodig hebt, geldt dat ook voor
Windows.
