In response to this, Jan, would you belive the expense, other than salaries
to people to maintain it (which is small in comparison) is communication
charges! That's right, folks, the Phone Bill is the major cost of the net!

How do you think the various nodes transfer the messages and email? Right -
long distance, for the most part, and a lot of local switching.

Seems to me the local carriers and AT&T Long Lines are making money on this
so why bother with another service?
