C-SPAN has confirmed it will be broadcasting "The California
Gubernatorial Debate" tonight at 8:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m. (Pacific
Standard Time). It will also be aired on C-SPAN2 sometime
tommorrow morning -- possibly around 4:00 A.M. (Pacific Standard
Time).

The debate was held at Chapman University's Argyros Forum, Lecture
Hall 209, on Monday, October 12 at 6 p.m. Chapman University is
located at 333 N. Glassell St., Orange, CA.

Participating candidates (and parties) included*:

   � Nathan E. Johnson (American Independent Party)
   � Dan Hamburg (Green Party)
   � Steve W. Kubby (Libertarian Party)
   � Harold H. Bloomfield (Natural Law Party)
   � Gloria Estela La Riva (Peace and Freedom Party)

   * Note: The Reform Party does not have a gubernatorial
           candidate in this election.
