I saw your letter in the Dispatch and was relieved to find out that the FOP
endorsement may indeed not have come from a populace vote, hence, reflecting
the view of most or all policemen.

You are right-on about Clinton in terms of the serious scandals and verifiable
lies and such that he (his wife, and administration) have been embroiled in.

Bush put it well in the '92 debates when he kept referring to the character
of a president.  He knew something that we all have been finding out about ever
since.  Unfortunately, many Americans are judging this election's candidates
(or so the poles seem to indicate) by personal charisma rather the content of 
their character and the level and kind of unfluctuating values.
