Of course not! (History 101 anybody?)
}Me, I would prefer to carry a concealed weapon at all times,

The sad thing being that -- at least in certain sections of town, one of
which is yours -- packing a weapon is more like a sort of "insurance
policy".
}Obviously we can't expect that all of the crack and pot heads
}are going to respect everyone's freedom when they are high.
In case you've not noticed, we can't expect people to do that when
they're sober.
You are, apparently, in an alleged "institute of higher learning". Might
one encourage that you do a little learning? (History 101, or Current
Events. Either will do.)

And the Thought of the Moment (tm) is...
"Marriage is, as far as I have seen, the legal recognition of human pair
bonds. One of the common *uses* of marriage is baby production... but
there are many other uses of marriage (as well as other methods of baby
production) which have changed over time and place. The *purpose* of
marriage is stabilizing pair bonds... *one* *use* of marriage is
reproduction. See the difference?"
