GOD--Man's Attempt to define the Undefineable!

Earlier on this day I came upon Pieter Krul's posting on
alt.consciousness. I have never met or communicated with Pieter on any
subject, and so my comments are based solely on Pieter's
communication. Pieter's succinct and powerful definition which he
titled "A Fundamental Precept of Consciousness" noticeably did not
use the word God anywhere in his expression. Whether he believes in
the idea of God or not is irrelevant. His words ring with truth. His
intelligence is a light unto itself. I sincerely hope that Pieter is
not embarrased nor takes offense at what is said here, but something
very important took place when Pieter sat down to share his insight
with the rest of us.

May I suggest that you read Pieter's definition with quietness of
mind and allow the truth to make itself known to you. Scientific fact
is no more than a consensus of minds that accept a logical, clear,
verbal explanation for something that heretofore was inexpressible but
self evident. When we can talk about it and replicate it in our lives
through methodology and formulas, we humans call that fact. It is not
a fact, however; it is merely a comfortable and security-providing
expression of a self-evident fact which lies beyond words. J.
Krishnamurti, a man whom I regard as my Spiritual Brother, as I do the
man Jesus of Nazareth, often said that the "word is not the thing,
the description is not the described."

Unfortunately, man is controlled through his mind. Control a man's
thoughts and you control his destiny. Such a man is enslaved to the
controllers of thought. Such a man is called civilized. That simple
fact has been the message I have attempted to convey to all who live
in their sedated, hypnotic, altered state of consciousness called
"Normal."

The two primary ways of controlling minds is through fear and
uncertainty. The institutional approach has been through the force
and fear of the "warrior" (government with its overt threat of
imprisonment, harm or death) and the "witchdoctor" (organized
religions utilizing confusion, myths, mystical spellbinding concepts
and self doubt). It has been effective indeed. Despite the teachings
of a Buddha, Christ, or Krishnamurti whose words could be tailored to
suit the prevailing political agenda, the average man has never been
free to seek the truth for himself. The primitive tool of taboo is
alive and well in its use of controlling behavior. Only now it is
called political and religious correctness.

Pieter's definition is scientific. Mine is a blended balance of the
religious and the scientific. There are many ways to describe the
truth, but there is only One Truth, One God. It is through the
discernment of the spirit.of the word, rather than the wrangling over
of the peripheral letter of the word, that one comes to truth in their
life. To do that one must be open; one must be quiet. The noisy
chatter of judgmental assertions of past conditioned, partial beliefs
must be set aside. One must listen as if for the first time, for in
that pristine moment of "now," beyond space and time, it is the first
time. That allows one to merge with the eternal moment, thought by
the mind to be impossible. (And as long as the mind is in operation,
It is Impossible!)

Conditioned thought divides people according to their peripheral
beliefs. Love, the spirit of oneness, embraces all through the focus
on the spirit, the core of the word. Man is conditioned to live by
the letter of the word, and so man finds himself living a confused,
violent, insufferable existence. He has been dumbed down and forced
to live in a state of dualistic ignorance, while pridefully holding to
some imaginary fantasy of advantage over another. Such are the meagre
rewards of those who seek pleasure over another through the illusion
of power. Has it not already been said, "What profiteth a man to gain
the whole world and lose his soul"?

When man has lost his ability to directly apprehend What Is and is
caught by some anthropomorphic expression of a God that can never be
understood with mere words; when he will separate, and kill his
brother, or martyr himself over such conditioned thoughts he holds
sacred (which are nothing but his own petty thoughts repeating
themselves within his own confused consciousness), one can see Hell on
Earth in operation.

It is the breaking of the pattern of mindcontrol that releases one
from personal bondage. That action is the action of understanding.
When understanding comes, that which has been a problem is dissolved
and falls away, leaving one free and unencumbered to flow with the
energy of life as it is. In that moment such a person it the "Truth,
the L:ife, and the Way."

My motive in participating on the net has been to expose the mind
control momentum of the elitists who have maintained their control
over the mass mind since the earliest of civilized societies. My
iconoclastic manner is upsetting to most who prefer to hold on to
their illusory beliefs. Admittedly, my negative approach in the
annihilation of illusion is uncomfortable, but highly efficacious.
Negate, Negate, Negate; expose the illusions in the "mirror of truth"
with simple honesty. In such a confrontation, what is left after the
illusions fall away will always be the Truth. That is the pain that
all seekers must endure in their return to balance. There is nothing
warm and fuzzy about it. One puts it all on the line for truth. Such
is the risk taken by all who may be persecuted and reviled while they
stand alone in their truth.

Look at the widely different yet convergent definitions to the same
point made by Pieter and myself. The words are not the same, yet I
tell you that Pieter and I are at one in the spirit of understanding.
See that in your consciousness; come to that point of understanding
and our world shall take the quantum leap in consciousness that will
avert massive annihilation in the days to come.
                                                           Ray
