Excuse me there, George, but take a look at your post. We're talking to very
distant parallels here. I'm speaking of the country in general, and you're
speaking of only what you see, and your experiences. True, nobody is perfect,
including Christians, but, the the message I'm trying to get across here is
that since man has removed God and the Bible from the decision making processes
of this country, our nation has been in a constant decline, economically,
socially, and spiritually. Unfortunately, I don't think we can recover from it.
One prime example is take a look at our education system.
I don't remember the exact dates, or figures, but when the mandate came that
required the seperation of church and state, i.e. no more God in the schools,
etc., the total education, SAT scores, etc. went on a roller coaster ride
down, and the drop-out rates, teen violence, crimes, etc. went dramatically
up. Also, look at the unemployment ratings numbers. They have gone up
substantially, while our job markets have been leaving this country faster
than your heart beats. The job market situation is directly linked to 'men'
thinking they know what's best. NAFTA was thought to be a life-saver for our
country, as well as several other trade agreements, but all that has happened
is that a few people got rich off it, and the rest of the country is suffering.
That's what I'm trying to get across is the fact that because we, as a
country have turned our back on the Lord, he has decided to step back and say,
"Fine, you think you know what's best, go for it."
If we had people making decisions based on what the Bible states, instead of
what people think, our nation would be favored by God, and be much more
prosperous.
That's just my opinion.
