There will be a free open house at the OSU Radio Observatory this Saturday (May 11) from 1 to 4pm. The Radio Telescope is larger than three football fields, and is the largest at any University in the USA. It is the home of the world's longest- running search for extra-terrestrial intelligence. Guided tours will begin every 20 minutes, and last about an hour. Highlights include having your "radio photograph" taken, seeing the Flag of Earth, and visiting the underground focus room. Refreshments and souvenirs will be available. The Radio Observatory is located on the east side of route 23, about 10 miles north of I-270, and 2 limes south of Delaware. It shares the driveway with Perkins Observatory. Turn off route 23 at the Big Ear/ Perkins signs and take all left turns on the driveway. For more information call 292-6789. Please forward this notice to any people or groups that may be interested.
