One of the nasty things in teh world is that UPS has delevoped a GREAT
profit centre in their "Brokerage" business. If you have somthing
shipped UPS across the Border. _LOOK OUT!_ They start at about 50 buck
fro customs clearance, and if their are two catagories of DUTY you will
be billed fro the higher of the two, (You don't want them getting stung
for duty do you)
Unfortuantely there seems to be some sort of Kickback schemme where some
American firms will not ship other than UPS. These firms are to be
avoided. I am offten told how awful the USPS is, but I cant thing of one
package that I have lost in teh last 20 Years via the mail. (The company
I was working for 15 years ago lost a computer board that was not well
packed, the box arrived, but the board was missing.)
