I recently connected to Spectrum Trading's WWW site, and saw what seemed like
a really good deal: A CPU upgrade that will upgrade any 486 CPU to Pentium75
power all for $125.

I decided to purchase the product.

I called their 1-800 number, placed my order, and they told me my credit card
would be charged for $125 + taxes + some minor shipping charges.

I waited a week, then when my package arrived, I was shocked out of my pants
when the UPS devivery guy said that I had to pay a $57 shipping charge! $57?!
On a $125 product?! Couldn't be. So I called Spectrum again, and asked what
was going on.

They said that a $57 charge was *NORMAL* and that that's how things were.
They said I could get my $125 back for the product, but I'd still have to pay
the $57 shipping plus whatever it costs me to send it back to them. I asked
them why they didn't tell me about this massive cost, and they said, once
again, that that's the way things are and that they assumed I knew.

I asked why they couldn't have sent me the package through regular surface
mail, and they said that that's impossible, that it could only be sent by UPS
(Funny, I can send packages anywhere I want with a few bucks of postage).

Anyway, this message was to warn people before they fall into the same trap I
did. (BTW, this is just my experience with this company. Has anyone else
delt with them? Good/Bad experiences?).

Ciao!
