There is a huge difference between someone making a complaint in a
newsgroup, and someone SPAMMING the newsgroup with complaints.

IMAO You're guilty of the latter.

Sure, there may well be Canberra problems (as a new Ozemail subscriber just
this month, I can't say that the performance of my account has been
stellar!), but to jump up and down and act like a pork chop like YOU have,
Steve, is simply ridiculous. No organisation can respond within hours to
problems to the satisfaction of -everyone-. Ozemail obviously have
problems, I think there is some admission that there are problems, and that
they are working on it. Screaming 'FIX MY PROBLEM NOW' and threatening to
take it to canb.general, is simply grandstanding tactics, and again,
totally unreasonable.

If the problems persist, by all means, INFORM the newsgroup readers of your
impending decision to LEAVE. I will certainly make MY retirement from
Ozemail a matter of public knowledge IF the performance of the Canberra
"megasaver" accounts doesn't improve -- but I won't be engaging in a
dozen-messages-a-day flamewar about it.

If you are THAT dissatisfied with Ozemails service, then VOTE WITH YOUR
FEET, and leave.

My time at Interact back when it was 'unlimited' was fabulous. My time at
Dynamite when is was 'unlimited' was pretty damned good. Since then I've
been a member of Zip.com.au (which was pretty pathetic in terms of speed,
but great for non-stop connections), i-netcomm.com.au, which has a number
of problems, and now Ozemail, which I find is VERY slow, and pretty
unusable in terms of being a 'decent' network connection. My long time
PCUG (pcug.org.au) account continues to be excellent value for money, and
the only reason I don't use it more extensively is the prohibitive cost of
staying connected for long IRC sessions.

Complaining about service is part of the feedback that any organisation
will expect from its customers. Shrill continuous squawking about the
situation is something entirely different though, Steve.

To recap : Ozemails' Canberra service (Megasaver) is pretty poor, but
constant harrassment of people trying to expedite a BETTER service, doesn't
do anyone any good.

Thanks for reading.
