It was, that's why there was nothing to talk about. I was thinking of spending no more than $350, which you probably find excessive too, but I was willing spend up to that $500 maximum if the service sounded really good. >I can't imagine spending any more than that on something so unlikely to >succeed even under the best of circumstances. I can't speak for others, but I'm very unlikely to use anything which requires me to access a 900 number, for ANY purpose. Part of the point of having people spend a lot of money is to make sure they're serious. Going to a bar, or meeting people on the street, is very ad-hoc, and you can never tell what you're getting. At least with something like GE, you know they're specifically interested in starting a relationship, and that they take it seriously enough to spend the $. >It never ceases to amaze me how many people will be duped into paying >huge amounts of money for such trivial services. I see, so you meet people you want to go out with all the time, do you? Not all of us are so lucky. In fact, if you have no problem finding friends and meeting singles, why are you here? -- Howard S Shubs hshubs@bix.com Reunite Gondwanaland! The Denim Adept hshubs@ultranet.com
