In a Palm application, how can I intercept the CAPS button being pressed on a Tungsten-C? Is it with a notification? Or else? It doesnt seem to be with the event manager. When I read all the events coming from the event loop ( with EvtGetEvent(&event, 1) ), pressing the CAPS button does not generate any event in my app! It must be possible: in the Memo Pad app, pressing the CAPS button change the up-arrow in the right bottom corner. Thanks! Jean-Francois

Hi, Shift and cap key are a kind of "control keys" and they are not in the ASCII chart, I believe. You won't be able to get a keydownevent for them as they aren't sent to the target because there's no point for the field to receive a shift state. But you should be able to get the cap/shift states by calling the graffiti function GrfGetState for grfTempShiftUpper, if the key from the keyboard changes the graffiti shift state. You might even need to manupulate some of the states if you want to turn off a shift in your app. elv "Jean-Franois Brire" <jfbriere@myway.com> wrote in message news:5edaa9b1.0307231219.73a85a96@posting.google.com... > In a Palm application, how can I intercept the CAPS button > being pressed on a Tungsten-C? > > Is it with a notification?
