Newfoundland Joke Database ================================================ http://www.nfldproducts.com/jokes/ ================================================ The Newfoundland Joke Database is gaining popularity. During our first month we had over 1200 visitors and are on track for double that this month. The site will be changing it's focus over the next few weeks to introduce more traditional Newfoundland humour. We would encourage anyone with a Newfoundland funny bone to visit and share their jokes and funny stories with us. A criticism of Newfoundland humour sites in has been the focus on tired "Newfy Jokes". With your help, we can make the Newfoundland Joke Database into something to be proud of. If you like Newfoundland humour pay us a visit. As you can see from the joke below, A LAUGH IS GUARANTEED. Regards, David Anstey david@nfldproducts.com ================================================ The Contest ================================================ A Newfy and a manlander are sitting next to each other on a long flight from Halifax to Vancouver. The mainlander leans over to the Newfy and asks if he would like to play a fun game. The Newfy just wants to take a nap, so he declines and rolls over to the window to catch a few winks. The mainlander persists and explains that the game is real easy and a lotta fun. He explains "I ask you a question, and if you don't know the answer, you pay me $5. Then you ask me a question, and if I don't know the answer, I'll pay you $5." Again, the Newfy politely declines and tries to get to sleep. The mainlander, now somewhat agitated, says, "OK, if you don't know the answer you pay me $5, and if I don't know the answer, I'll pay you $50!" This catches the Newfy's attention, and he sees no end to this torment unless he plays, so he agrees to the game. The mainlander asks the first question. "What's the distance from theearth to the moon?" The Newfy doesn't say a word, but reaches into his wallet, pulls out a five dollar bill and hands it to the mainlander. Now, it's the Newfy's turn. He asks him "What goes up a hill with three legs, and comes down on four?" The mainlander looks up at him with a puzzled look. Not wanting to lose the money he thinks for along time about the question while the Newfy goes back to sleep. After about an hour, he wakes the Newfy and hands him $50. The Newfy politely takes the $50 and turns away to try to get back to sleep. The mainlander, more than a little miffed, shakes the Newfy and asks "Well, so what's the answer?" Without a word, Newfy reaches into his wallet, hands the mainlander $5, and turns away to get back to sleep. Drop by the Newfoundland Joke Database for more! http://www.nfldproducts.com/jokes/
