KLH 3-Piece Satellite/Subwoofer System

This system includes two 2-way stellite speakers and a subwoofer
with dual 5 1/4" cones and overload protection.
175 Watt handling.
Speakers: 8 1/4" x 4 3/4" x 5 5/8"
Subwoofer: 11 1/4" x 7 11/16" x 17 1/8"

Consumer Digest 1994 Buyer's Guide stated that the MSRP for this elite
speaker system was $599. The best price that they found for it was $375.

I have several brand new, unopened units ready to sell.
They come complete with a 2 year factory warranty.

I would be willing to part with them for $300 per system.
Don't worry, I will take care of shipping and handling.

If interested, please respond quickly.

I heard this system, and $99 is about what it's worth. IF you get free
shipping. :-)

If the individuals that replied to my original article bothered to look ot the specs. of the system that I posted and the one in DAMARK, they would have
clearly seen that they are not the same ones.

The one that I am selling is the higher line equipment from KLH.
The one in DAMARK has a swivel-top satellite while the one that I am selling
is a one piece. The system from DAMARK is not worth the money, while the one
that I have was rated as a top system with great sound quality by Consumers'
Digest.

So, if you have anything else to say, please direct your comments DIRECTLY to me. Thanks.

E-mail me for any further specs. on my high line speaker system.

People responded because of the sensationalistic original post. You called the
system "elite" and "high line" (good thing you didn't say "high-end"--you
would have really gotten chewed up :-) when most people on rec.audio know that
this system is positioned as low to mid-fi equipment.

Furthermore, a 5 1/2" driver barely qualifies as a woofer, let alone a
"subwoofer." Most 3-piece manufacturers smartly advertise their 3rd piece
as a "bass module" instead.

Sell the system for what it is: a budget buy.

Incidentally, I heard the one you are referring to--not the Damark version. I
was not impressed, and would recommend NHT Superzeros, bottom of the line
Boston Acoustics, or Celestion 1s instead. But that's just IMHO.
