I know of a few more distinctions:

Joggers hog the track.  Runners are courteous and know what a track is for.
Joggers overdress.  Runners wear as little as possible.
Joggers run with traffic.  Runners go against traffic.
Joggers hog the sidewalk and are not aware of their surroundings.  Runners
are aware of their surroundings and know right from left.
Joggers are meek & demure.  Runners are crashing all the time, competitive,
and thrill seeking.
Runners get high, joggers don't.  (we're talking endorphins here!)
Runners go crashing out the door before 6am to get that 8 miler in,
joggers go out to be seen in middle of the day when it's hottest.
Runners vary their pace, during there run as well as during the week,
joggers just keep ploddin' on.

Runners are active, sexy, type-A, athletic, coordinated, and full of
excuses!  I wouldn't be anything else!
