From my tests with various pieces of software it seems one of my 16mb simm's
is bad in one particular place(but not all the time).

I doubt it's something to do with the HDD, which is brand new like the
rest of the system and is running off the EIDE controller on the motherboard.
The motherboard is equipped with the Triton II chipset (Intel F437) and so I
hope there are no problems there.

Also why would it be swapping information out to disk if it has 31mb of
extended memory to use in the first place. I mean running Duke3D won't
use ALL of my memory will it?

I have used norton's diags and pc doctor on this machine and pc doctor
reports errors at address !800000H I think when doing a fast address
pattern or some such test. The third last bit is out, in both the
byte, word and longword.
