   teh supporters of Prop. 187, then why not FIX that govt. teat so that it 
   works
   'correctly', rather than making a race/country specific attack.
Exactly. National, unforgeable I.D. card. Required for employment,
and to enroll your kids in school.

   Heritage/race should have no bearing. 
And if 187 were enforced PROPERLY it would not; "properly" meaning
this I.D. card thing... of course 187 is bad legislation for several
other reasons, but the idea that it DEFINITELY hurts legal immigrants
in this fashion is not one of them. It would only do so if enforcement
measures were not properly designed.
